The LumiRead out of the box is equipped with 2GB flash memory which can carry an entire library of up to 1,500 books and can be upgraded by adding a MicroSD card.  It has a 6-inch reading screen is about the same size as a standard novel.

Below the screen is its QWERTY keyboard which makes it easy to type, browse the web and find and share information on books. There is also a barcode scanner that allows you to build a wish list of you next reading list, and search supported online libraries and book stores. There is a “Smart Dowload” feature that saves web pages for you to read later anytime and anywhere.

So far Acer has content in English, Chinese and German through partnership with Barnes & Nobles and Libri.de.  They are currently working on getting content for French and Italian readers.
