Celeno's OptimizAIR to Power Amino's Connected IPTV Set-Top Boxes

Amino and Celeno are collaborating to develop a new range of whole home wireless networking solutions. Amino’s IPTV Over-the-Top (OTT) solutions is to leverage Celeno’s OptimizAIR to deliver IPTV, multi-room DVR, Over the Top video and Video on Demand (VoD), in high definition wirelessly.  The new range is to allow telecom operators to offer a compelling mix of broadcast, on-demand and content from the Internet including social media, gaming and applications.

Amino said Celeno’s Wi-Fi technology complements Amino’s IPTV set-top boxes and will help them to offer whole home Wi-Fi networking.

Celeno’s Wi-Fi technology (CL1830) has been used to develop Amino’s Wi-Fi/Ethernet bridges such as the Aminet A130, A140 and A540. The bridges are powerful enough to enable whole-home wireless PVR functionality, allowing access to centrally stored content anywhere in the home. Other products include Wi-Fi USB dongles.
