HydraConnect HDMI Processors Now Support RTI Home Automation Systems

Denver based processor manufacturer HydraConnect has announced support for RTI (Remote Technologies Inc.) home automation systems to its HDMI matrix processors. The control software which has been added to the HSS family will allow custom installers to easily integrate HydraConnect HSS systems into RTI home automation systems.

According to HydraConnect, “Existing HSS units have already been upgraded using HydraConnect's automatic software update process, which is used by all fielded HSS family systems in use worldwide without customer or dealer intervention”.

"Our HSS-family of matrix processors will give RTI's installers a better way to combine state-of-the-art AV systems with their remarkable home automation systems”, said David Schanin, HydraConnect’s President.

Integrators can get the new software from RTI although HSS support is already included in all shipping units, also integrators can download RTI driver which include a sample user interface for RTI's iPad application.

“RTI's engineers did an outstanding job bridging the two environments to take full advantage of our patented CEC control, auto-configuration, Dynamic EDID, HDCP key management, and many other features", said Schanin.

The HydraConnect HSS system has also been certified by Control4 to work also with Control4 home automation systems. As an integrator solution, HSS provides auto-configuration of detected A/V media devices, automatic EDID, HDCP key management. The HSS system’s patented CEC control eliminates the need for IR flashers and other cabling.
