LIME Selects Entone's FusionTV To Offer Premium PayTV via Internet

LIME, a Caribbean division of Cable & Wireless is to roll out Entone’s FusionTV services in the region.  Using adaptive bitrate (ABR) and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technologies, within the FusionTV solution LIME will offer the first premium PayTV service via the Internet. Program that will be streamed from networks such as CBS, NBC and ABC, sports from ESPN, music from MTV , Nicklodean and lifestyle programs from Warne Brothers.

"Entone's FusionTV solution allows us to offer a superior entertainment experience to all our customers while also enabling us to quickly rollout new services across our entire broadband footprint without changing set tops," said Dianne Bissoon, LIME’s VP of TV and Entertainment.

By connecting an Entone Hybrid TV device to a broadband network, LIME subscribers will have instant access to over 130 channels and be able to stream on-demand services (OTT) via a seamless user interface. The FusionTV platform enables operators to bundle linear HDTV and cloud media services with broadband Internet.
