Marvell Offers ZigBee (RF4CE) Remote Control Platform

The new remote control reference design platform is base on the ZigBee RF4CE standard.  The solution offers a rich remote control experience that includes voice search and gesture recognition, internet-based multimedia search and discovery capabilities, support for the latest in cloud gaming and more.

The remote platform joins other Marvell smart home, set-top box and smart TV solutions such as their award-winning ARMADA 1500 series SoC (System-on-Chip).

Marvell's ZigBee Remote Control Platform incorporates the highly integrated 88MZ100 ZigBee/RF4CE SoC for the smart home and completes Marvell's remote control portfolio supporting both ZigBee/RF4CE and Bluetooth connectivity standards.

Marvell said their ambition behind the new solution is to help households achieve a complete and seamless experience with smart TV, set-top box and other smart devices in the home.
