Netgear’s Home Media Server 'ReadyNAS Ultra Plus' Launched
Treat yourself to one of the latest in home media server with the Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra Plus, due to be on the shop shelves before Christmas. The new range (four in total) according to Netgear offers a 30 percent performance increase above the previous range of ReadyNAS Ultra media storage systems. The new systems have additional integrated support for other home media systems and are due out later this month.
Then whole new ReadyNAS Ultra Plus media server series is available in three different configurations which determines the price. You can choose to have a 2, 4 or 6 hard disk bays depending on the size of your collection of music, movies, photos and files and rhe redundancy you need.
Netgear has expanded ReadyNAS’s support for Smart Phones and other handheld devices. TiVo Digital Video Recorder owners can use ReadyNAS Ultra Plus to tremendously expand their DVR capacity. Orb™ transcoding support puts the right media formats on the right screens, streaming movies on handhelds in any connected location. Skifta™ shifts movies and music onto any DLNA certified networked screen. Remote file access is now available for iPhone users with the new ReadyNAS Remote iPhone App (available for $2.99 USD on Apple’s App Store).
