Netgem To Demonstrate New Set-top Box Features at IBC 2010
Netgem has promised to showcase a host of connected home solutions at this year’s IBC show in Amsterdam. The company has confirmed its participation in the event and said they will be showing the latest technologies and demonstrating some of Netgem’s new functionality offered in their STB set-top box range, which is geared at providing new business opportunity for service providers.
Attendees to the event can expect to see new features in Netgem hybrid media centre set-top box (STB), and the business opportunity that can be achieve. Their Netgem TV Middleware platform was has been enhanced to include social media integration and a new 3D carousel; this too will be on show.
Netgem said they are helping operators such as Telstra and Monaco Telecom in deployments of over-the-top (OTT) services to support their existing broadcast content in a cost effective and scalable way.
