Schneider to Develop Home Automation Products for Indian Market
With the growth in home automation solutions in developed countries Schneider is planning to design and develop a new range of home automation products for the Indian connected home market. Recent acquisition in India has made it company’s seventh biggest market outside the U.S., China and France, they are hoping to move the Indian market into fourth place.
"We will be designing and developing new products for the Indian market, especially in the home automation segment. The company will also look at expanding the geographical presence," Schneider Electric Managing Director (India) Olivier Blum told PTI.
According to Blum, "We are looking at innovations in inverters, where it can be linked to renewable energy sources." Estimates indicate that the Indian inverter and power storage market is growing at over 20 percent annually and is worth approximately 800 million euros.
