Meet Ivee Sleek, The Connected Clock
It was not so long ago we introduced Ubi now you are spoilt for choice with the introduction of Ivee Sleek an alarm clock you can speak to. Apparently Ivee is not a new, according to their kickstarter profile they have been selling these for three years now. What’s new with Ivee sleek is its ability to connected to other smart devices in your home, such as Nest, the smart thermostat or a Lockitron smart lock.
According to its creator Jonathon, Ivee Sleek is the result of his customers asking him for a version of the clock that connect to the internet. Ivee Sleek was unveiled at 2013 CES, as a Wi-Fi voice-activated assistant for the home.
The Ivee Sleek is really an assistant, it wish you happy birthday, offer you traffic advice due to reported traffic accident and it can tell you about current weather conditions. In addition to providing FM radio for music, the ivee Sleek can play relaxing sounds that will help you fall asleep like the constant waves of an ocean. Also useful for the kids, the ivee Sleek can read a bedtime story out loud as they are falling asleep.
The battery in the Ivee Sleek is recordable using the USB port at the back. It has 128MB of RAM, 256MB of flash storage, a 45mm speaker, a 4.3″ LCD display and support Wireless 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g connectivity.
Plans are in the pipeline to increase its functionality so that in addition to communicating with your smart thermostats, locks and lights, the ivee Sleek will be able to control smart vacuums, scales, blinds, plugs, pedometers and health monitors as well.
