Pandora New Zealand Partners With Samsung on Smart TV

Pandora New Zealand has announced that they have partnered with Samsung Electronics New Zealand to offer Pandora Internet Radio on Samsung SMART TVs. Owners of new and existing Samsung SMART TVs (models dated from 2011 through to the new 2014 range) should be able to access Pandora’s music streaming service.

“The connected media landscape has undergone significant changes over recent years, moving quickly to meet consumer expectation for convenient access to content,” says Rick Gleave, director of business development, Pandora New Zealand. “With Kiwis now owning an average of seven connected devices, we must respond to allow consumers more choices in how they want to experience their content.”

The Smart TV sector has experienced significant growth over the last 12 months with the on-demand technology now featuring in nearly one in four homes across Australasia – further highlighting the importance of cross-platform integration.
