Mitsubishi 3D DLP Home Cinema and Unisen LED TV to have Bluetooth

Mitsubishi as selected Broadcom’s BCM2046 single-chip Bluetooth System-on-Chip (SoC)solution for a new range of HDTVs coming this summer. The new models of Mitsubishi Unisen Immersive Sound LED TVs will be built with Broadcom’s Bluetooth solution.  With the popularity of smartphones and wireless technology, Mitsubishi is hoping to take advantage of the available technology to offer the public more options to enjoy their media content.

The Televisions to have the new Bluetooth technology is the new Mitsubishi Diamond 838 line of 3D DLP Home Cinema TVs, with screen sizes 65 to 82 inches, and the 40 to 55 inches Unisen Large flat panel LED range.  The new models combines 3D picture and 3D sound with Mitsubishi’s unique Immersive Sound technology to create a truly immersive home entertainment experience.
 
With the Broadcom BCM2046 SoC solution, owners of Mitsubishi’s 3D DLP Home Cinema TVs and Unisen Immersive Sound LED televisions can easily connect their smartphone or other MP3 player and enjoy the sound without the need for cables.
 
Broadcom said the new chipset was adapted to gain broader adoption in consumer electronics applications, such as advanced remote control functionality and wireless audio streaming.
 
The BCM2046 has gained wide adoption in consumer electronics devices, including digital televisions, set-top boxes, video game consoles and Blu-ray Disc players making it the most widely-used solutions for transforming and enhancing the user experience, said the Broadcom.
