Coming To America: PURE Digital and Internet-Connected Radios

Soon to be release PURE North America new range of digital and internet-connected radios. It is not clear when these two radios will be in the shops. Below are the Sensia and Sirocco 550, PURE's line of next-generation connected radios which transform how we access, store, share and interact with digital entertainment such as music, internet radio and podcasts. These are two of the five digital radios PURE is planning to introduce to American market.

Will PURE's Digital and Internet-Connected Radios Woo America?

Pure Digital RadioPURE has announced the release of three of their digital and internet-connected radios, which they hope to woo the US. The three models released are EVOKE Flow, Oasis Flow, and Siesta Flow.  These will be available for purchase within America from July 1, 2010. According to PURE, North America is a connected market and PURE radios will help consumers access, store, share and interact with digital entertainment such as music, internet radio and podcasts.

Denon Released AV Receivers for 100th Anniversary

As part of their 100th anniversary Denon as announced the release of ten AV Receivers. They are release as part of the Retail Home Theater series and should be in the shops in the next coming months. These new models feature significant enhancement over previous models, first of all they come with HDMI 1.4s Repeater Inputs with 3D - as standard, Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) support and Audio Return Channel.

Denon Celebrates 100 years with New Range of Blu-rays and AV Receivers

Denon is celebrating 100 years in business this year and has announced the release of two Blu-ray players and ten Audio/Video Receivers.  The new systems are due out in the coming months and promise the latest in home entertainment. Features include media streaming, auto firmware update and the ability to integrate with other home control systems.

MIPS and Imagination Technologies Collaborate on SoC Graphics Solution

Paramount and Seagate in Movie Distribution Deal

seagate freeagnetSeagate announced that they begun distributing Paramount movies on some of its FreeAgent Go portable hard drives.  The deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment has allowed Seagate to ship specially marked FreeAgent Go hard drives with some of Paramount’s movies.  Seagate said the drives are already available for purchase, with a free copy of Star Trek (2009).  Other titles are available but require you to buy the license to unlock and view

Microsoft Silverlight Goes System on Chip (SoC)

silverlightMicrosoft has announced that Silverlight is to be embedded as a System on Chip (SoC) solution for manufacturers and developers of set-top boxes, Blu-ray disc players, internet connected TVs and other connected home devices. Microsoft said they are working with Intel and Broadcom on the new architecture and visitor to this week’s NAB Show in Las Vega will see a demo version of the technology.
