The HDBaseT Alliance is coming to CES 2011. In a press release they said they will be demonstrating a whole home networking solution using HDBaseT technology. So those of us going to the show and curious to know more about HDBaseT and would like to see it in action, the demonstation will be in the Hilton Suite No.2450.
Since the introduction of Intel’s fibre optic Light Peak technology earlier this year I haven’t seen or heard anything and with CES 2011 just two weeks away I think it might be on the cards. One thing Intel did say, is we can expect to see Light Peak enabled products as early as next year (2011). Therefore, I was thinking what better place to launch the

Westell Technologies has been named an International CES 2011 Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its visionary HomeCloud solution and groundbreaking HomeCloud Digital Home Manager (DHM) network appliance. The broadband products and outside plant telecom specialist’s HomeCloud solution was judged by an independent panel consist of industrial designers, members of the media and engineers.
The Consumer Electronics Association today announced the launch of the Connected Home Appliances TechZone at the 2011 International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. The Connected Home Appliances TechZone, co-sponsored by CEA, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) and The Retail Observer magazine, will feature 10,000 square feet of exhibit space in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for manufacturers of next-generation appliances. The 2011 International CES will be held January 6-9, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
