4Home and Verizon Wireless have debut a 4G LTE connected home service at this weeks CE Show in Las Vegas. Both businesses said the service will leverage each other technologies to offer subscribers real-time remote monitoring and control of their home’s and their energy consumption. Through a simple user interface on the computer, smartphone or tablet Verizon’s customers control and monitor their home.
D-Link will be launching three new DLNA certified 1080p High Definition media routers (HD Media Router 1000, HD Media Router 2000 and HD Media Router 3000) at CES 2011, when the show starts tomorrow. The HD Media Router 1000 (DIR-657) was selected as a CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Award honoree in the Home Networking product category. All models include HD Fuel technology and Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize High Definition traffic.
Broadcom has announced that they will launch eleven new set-top box system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions at this year’s CE Show in Las Vegas. According to the company these set-top box chipsets are designed specifically for the connected home and features integrated NDS VideoGuard Security Kernel that provide secure digital content delivery for next generation connected home devices.

LG Electronics has big things in store for the connected home category at this year’s consumer electronics show. GenosTV the creator of the Cyclops universial remote controller has announced that they will be coming to CES 2011, to demonstrate the Cyclops remote. The demonstration is planned around a series of activities by the GenosTV team. The GenosTV CEO and co-founder Rob Shambro will be delivering one to the keynote at the show, which will include the first public exhibition of the GenosTV’s soon to be release services.
