Tendril, the energy platform company, today announced it has shipped Tendril Energize™, its revolutionary application suite of consumer-facing home energy management tools, to several energy providers including Cape Light Compact, KCP&L and Origin Energy.

The Tendril Energize applications are built on Tendril Connect, the company’s cloud-based software platform for utilities, energy service providers, and third party product and service providers. Based on field research grounded in behavioral science and cognitive psychology, Tendril Energize provides a web portal as well as mobile and other applications to create an active learning experience where consumers can gain insight into their energy use and learn how to control consumption based on their unique goals. GreenWave Reality Selected for Tianjin Eco-City, China

The project called "The Elegance" is a joint venture between Philippines' Ayala Land and Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development. The GreenWave Reality platform will be implemented to give residents of this modern housing community automation at their fingertips.

Motorola and Honeywell to Supply Connected Home Security Solutions

Entropic and Intel to Develop First MoCA 2.0 Based Video Gateway

Intel and Entropic Commnications have announced plans to develop the industry first advanced video gateway and client set-top box reference designs.  Both companies will combine they respective technologies, Intel with the Intel Atom CE4200 processor and Entropic's MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) 2.0 solution.  Both companies said the solution will help service providers deliver new services and the emerging category of video gateway applications.Intel said the reference design will offer OEM a seamless upgrade from MoCA 1.1 products to the more powerfull powerful MoCA 2.0 architecture.

Hutchinson Utilities Selects Sensus for Electric and Gas Smart Grid Solutions

Motorola Introduces Video Streaming Device, Televation

Guided by our changing lifestyle, Motorola has launch the ‘Motorola Televation’, a new video streaming device that allows us to watch video content from anywhere in our home. As a form of media shifting, Motorola said the Televation will work with our Wi-Fi router to stream digital content to other IP connected devices in the home, such as an Apple iOS and Android based device. The new device is supported by a development kit to encourage content provider to develop new solutions.
